Numerous customers celebrated 90th anniversary with EMIL EGGER
Together with our customers we were able to celebrate our 90th anniversary!
90 years of passion for logistics – the foundation stone for this passion was laid by founder Emil Egger. What started as a small coal trade in the Heilig Kreuz in St. Gallen, developed into a Swiss-wide operating family business in the logistics industry, which is now managed by the 3rd generation.
We were very happy about the numerous attendance of our customers at the anniversary celebration and captured the memory by video.

Replacement beaver bridge in Biberbrugg with 1000 tons crane
Numerous onlookers followed the work of replacing the 60-year-old beaver bridge in Biberbrugg from September 30 to October 2. Toneatti AG, together with subcontractors such as EMIL EGGER, carried out the long-planned work. After dismantling the old bridge, the new one, 17 m long and weighing 240 tons, was then set with millimeter precision.
Several cranes from the EMIL EGGER fleet were deployed in the Engadine to ensure smooth assembly: an 80-ton crane, a 100-ton pneu crane and, in some cases, a 250-ton mobile crane with a hook height of over 90 meters.
All-terrain crane Tadano AC 7.450-1 Operation in Dübendorf
Tadano AC 7.450-1 mobile crane in operation on a high-rise construction site in Dübendorf. Due to the confined space, a compactly built crane with enormous lifting height was required, which can erect construction cranes up to 100 m.
With our powerful truck-mounted cranes (20 to 100 m/t lifting capacity), we not only transport your goods, but at the same time ensure that they are loaded or unloaded independently. Thanks to the comprehensive equipment and well-trained drivers, we also place the transported goods at the desired location with pinpoint accuracy, if desired.
Derailed railcar put back on tracks thanks to two EGGER cranes
On Sunday, July 17, 2022, a train of the Appenzeller Bahnen derailed in Wasserauen after colliding with a car. To help the railcar back onto the tracks, EMIL EGGER was quickly on the scene with two mobile cranes.
In addition to handling all general cargo formats, whether pallets, packages or long goods, EMIL EGGER AG has a good network that enables efficient transports throughout Switzerland and abroad. We also transport dangerous goods safely and in accordance with regulations.
42 m high observation tower was completed in three strokes
The wood used for the construction of the tower comes directly from the hardwood forest. Approximately 310 cubic meters of wood were processed. The whole tower weighs a total of 190 tons. The challenge of stacking the weighty and large prefabricated elements of 42 tons each on top of each other was solved by means of crane work by EMIL EGGER AG. The modules were mounted on top of each other in three lifts up to a height of 42 m by means of a 450-tonne pneumatic crane.
